Why the Descendants of Joseph Are Losing the Birthright!
We have seen how the birthright of Abraham's grandson Jacob was given to the twin sons of Joseph. It was unconditional, but it was withheld for 2,520 years.
However, retaining the birthright promises is conditional. For disobedience, the birthright can and will be taken away and the nation cursed by God.
The national greatness of the British and American people is coming to an end!

Curses to come upon the descendants of Abraham for disobedience:

But it shall come to pass, if you will not hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:
Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.
Cursed shall be your basket and your store.
Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep.
Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shalt you be when you go out.
The LORD shall send upon you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set your hand to do, until you be destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the wickedness of your doings, whereby you have forsaken Me.
The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto you, until He has consumed you from off the land, where you go to possess it.
The LORD shall smite you with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.
And your heaven that is over your head shall be brass, and the earth that is under you shall be iron.
The LORD shall make the rain of your land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon you, until you be destroyed.
The LORD will smite you with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, where of you can not be healed.
The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low.
He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.

God gave this promise of national curses to our forefathers--the original 12 Tribes of Israel. God doesn't change! The same principle holds today with the modern descendants of Israel.
Deut. 28 and its companion scripture Lev. 26, gives another example of duality in scripture--blessings for obedience and cursings for disobedience.
The other aspect of prophetic duality is that the curses came upon the ancient descendants of Abraham, and they are now-- at this very moment --coming upon the modern descendants of Israel.
The nations that inherited the birthright blessings of Abraham are presently on a downward path. If our people do not change their ways, we will suffer the same fate as the ancient Israelites. |

God will turn away the excellency (remove the birthright blessings) of modern Israel. |
| Disobedience brings punishment. |
Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

God had a special relationship with the descendants of Jacob. Because of this special relationship, if the people would not fulfil their part of the covenant, God would certainly chasten them. God does not deal this way with other nations at this time since they have not entered into a special relationship with him. |
| God will pour out His fury on the land because of the abominable practices of the people. |
Doom has come upon you--you who dwell in the land. The time has come, the day is near; there is panic, not joy, upon the mountains. I am about to pour out My wrath on you and spend My anger against you; I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices. I will not look on you with pity or spare you; I will repay you in accordance with your conduct and the detestable practices among you. Then you will know that it is I the LORD who strikes the blow.

God says that He will judge us according to our ways. The major English-speaking nations of the world have been loosing their vast wealth in a direct parallel with the decline of morality in the land. They are related. |
| For disobeying God's commandments and thereby breaking the covenant between God and the descendants of Abraham, God will punish us! |
But if you do not obey Me, and will not observe all these commandments,
and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhor My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
I also will do this to you:
I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart.
And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.
And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.
And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

Since WW II, God has been breaking the "pride of your power" in the English-speaking nations of the world. The U.S. is the greatest military power on earth, but was humbled by tiny Vietnam, and for all its success in the Gulf War, Saddam is still in power! The English-speaking nations are increasingly having the pride of their power broken.
We are now in the age of "wasting diseases." AIDS and cancer is an example of this!
Also the national curses on agriculture are starting to come to pass. Soon major drought will hit the vast grain-growing areas and fruit trees will suffer major crop failures! |

Notice what God says!
Because we have not kept all his COMMANDMENTS...
The 10 Commandments were the pillar of Old Testament Israel. Modern Israel has also forsaken the Law of God and God Himself! We are not thankful to God for the bountiful blessings of this land.
The English-speaking nations have lost their moral compass! We are fast becoming nations of moral decay and spiritual rot! |

Beware that you forget not the LORD your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command you this day:
Lest when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and dwell therein; And when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; Then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God...
And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.

We are an unthankful people, who believe that we have gotten our vast wealth because we worked so hard for it. This is "the American way!" We believe that success is by our own efforts, not realizing that the only reason we have such abundance and national wealth to work with is that we were given this by God in fulfillment of promises made to Abraham. |
| We have abandoned His covenant. |
All the nations will ask: "Why has the LORD done this to this land? Why this fierce, burning anger?" And the answer will be: "It is because this people abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, the covenant He made with them when He brought them out of Egypt.

God will punish those who have forsaken His covenant, for an example to the nations of the world. He has entered into a perpetual covenant with the descendants of Abraham, and does not consider it a light thing when these people break the covenant agreement. |
| We are a disobedient people. |
Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.

Lawlessness and disobeying God's Laws result in God turning His back on His chosen people. It matters not that they are the inheritors of the birthright from Abraham. The verses 1 through 15 in Isa. 59 are an indictment against the lack of righteousness in the land today! |
| We are in rebellion against God. |
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore He was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

Again God says that because of rebellion against Him, we have turned Him into our enemy instead of our Protector. |
| Breaking God's Sabbaths. |
Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctifies them.
I am the LORD your God; walk in My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them; And hallow My sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.
Notwithstanding the children rebelled against Me: they walked not in My statutes, neither kept My judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted My sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out My fury upon them, to accomplish My anger against them in the wilderness.
Nevertheless I withdrew My hand, and wrought for My name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
I lifted up My hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
Because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, and had polluted My sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

The twin sins of ancient Israel were Sabbath breaking and idolatry! The very same conditions are present today with the descendants of the ancient Israelites.
The modern descendants of Jacob, since they have forgotten their identity have also forgotten the identifying sign between God and His people--His Sabbaths!
This includes the weekly seventh day, the New Moons, the Annual Holy Days with the Feasts, the seventh year land sabbaths and the complete jubilee system. |
| We are an idolatrous nation. |
"Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Are you defiling yourselves in the manner of your fathers, and commit harlotry according to their abominations?
"For when you offer your gifts and make your sons pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols, even to this day. So shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live," saith the Lord GOD, "I will not be inquired of by you." '

Idolatry was the second major sin in ancient Israel. Once the people forsook God's Sabbaths, it was inevitable to forsake God and worship idols. Today the descendants of Israel are no different. We do not worship the True God, because we no longer know the True God, but instead worship idols--the work of our hands.
We not only worship a false god that does not exist, but a false Jesus who also does not exist!
Because of this, God will not hear us! |
